The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho

The Idaho Bowl is proud to partner with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho — an organization that provides housing, meals, transportation, and emotional support for families with critically ill or injured children receiving medical care in Ada County.

In just two years, the Idaho Bowl has quickly become one of RMHC Idaho’s largest community contributors of material goods, helping families stay close to their children during their most challenging moments.

Why It Matters

While medical teams focus on healing the child, RMHC focuses on caring for the family.
Their 48-room House in downtown Boise offers:

  • A safe, supportive place to stay

  • Warm meals and access to kitchen facilities

  • Laundry and transportation services

  • A community that understands what they’re going through

All provided at no cost thanks to donations from supporters like you.

How You Can Help on Game Day

Rather than an admission fee, we ask fans to bring a donation to support RMHC Idaho.
Accepted items may include:

  • Monetary donations (any amount helps!)

  • New clothing and youth apparel

  • Non-perishable pantry items

  • Toys and comfort items for children

  • Gift cards to local stores and restaurants

RMHC Idaho will provide an updated needs list this spring, and we will share those details so every donation has maximum impact.

Together, We Make a Difference

Your generosity helps lighten the burden for local families — so they can stay close, stay strong, and stay focused on what matters most: their child’s recovery.

Bonding with players and coaches while teaching the game made the week unforgettable

More Than A Bowl Game

Idaho Bowl Director Laif Morrison presents Hank Anderson’s official Idaho Bowl jersey to his parents, Shey and Morgan, at Boise State during the 1st Annual Idaho Bowl.

Where football builds community — and community keeps families close.

This event is held in memory of Hank Anderson, the son of close friends of the Idaho Bowl director. Hank was born with Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome, a rare heart defect, in June 2021 and passed away in December of that year while awaiting a heart transplant. During their seven-month stay in Salt Lake City for Hank’s treatment, his parents — originally from Boise — received crucial support from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho.

Far from home and their local support system, RMHC provided the Andersons with housing, warm meals, transportation, laundry services, toys for Hank, and emotional support — all free of charge. This allowed them to remain fully focused on their son without the overwhelming financial burden of extended medical care away from home.

The Idaho Bowl proudly honors Hank’s memory and the strength of families like his. We hope this event inspires others to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho, helping them continue to care for families facing the most difficult moments of their lives.

The Ultimate Idaho Football Experience

The Idaho Bowl is an invite-only all-star showcase featuring the most talented youth football players in the state. Every athlete is hand-selected by our Selection Committee after reviewing film, performance, and coach recommendations.

All-Stars From All Across Idaho

Athletes will practice and compete alongside the best from every corner of the state — North to South, East to West — creating new friendships and rivalries along the way.

Teams are formed by grade level, not school size or geography. That means:

  • A 1A standout can line up beside a 6A powerhouse

  • Rural athletes and big-school stars unite

  • Northern Idaho and Eastern Idaho teammates may take the field together

Every player is pushed. Every player is showcased. Every player belongs here.

Four Days. Three Nights. One Unforgettable Experience.

Athletes enjoy a true college-style environment:

  • Dorm living with teammates

  • Dining in the cafeteria like a college athlete

  • Access to top-tier facilities

  • Organized team events and bonding experiences

These are the moments they’ll remember for life — the friendships, the excitement, and the first glimpse of their future as elite athletes.

Motivation. Inspiration. Entertainment.

Each night, players attend high-energy team events designed to build confidence, leadership, and brotherhood.

Guest speakers and entertainment vary year to year, but may include:

  • Current or former collegiate or professional athletes

  • Motivational leaders and industry experts

  • Unique and exciting entertainment guests

Our mission: to shape confident athletes and exceptional young men — on and off the field.
